Legal Counsel (Data Protection/ Privacy) - FinTech - Great Brand - Cambridgeshire - Hybrid

Our client is looking to grow its internal capability on the Regulatory / Data side of its wider Legal, Risk & Compliance team. Data isn't just a supporting element in this organisation, it's the lifeblood of their operations, integral to their continued success.

As a lead Data / Regulatory lawyer within the Legal team, you will provide comprehensive data protection counsel to various arms of the business, spanning from new product development initiatives, collaborating closely with marketing, data science, and analytics teams, to navigating ePrivacy regulations, digital marketing compliance, personal data breaches, and consumer and competition laws.

Your strategic involvement in key projects will be instrumental in driving the company's growth trajectory. With aspirations to further embrace automation and leverage AI tech, you will play a critical role in steering the business towards technological advancement and innovation.

The role will suit someone who enjoyed working in a fast paced environment with a business that never stands still; someone who would thrive in a dynamic environment and not shy away from immersing themselves at the heart of the business. Whether you come from a law firm or in-house background, you are likely to have a minimum of 2-3PQE in Commercial Law (to include data protection / GDPR).
