A global investment management company located in the City of London is looking for a Network Security Engineer to join their Global Network And Firewall Team on a permanent basis. As a Senior Technical Member, your primary responsibility will be to design, implement & support the Palo Alto Security environment in accordance with the team's operating practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring within a collaborative team

  • Work with team to define, design and implement secure networking capabilities (SASE)

  • Pro-actively maintain the network security hardware, applications, and services

  • Troubleshoot connectivity or performance issues in partnership with technology teams

  • Conduct upgrades and patching of the network and security devices and applications

  • Respond to emergency situations and perform effective troubleshooting during production Incidents.

  • Provide & maintain design and deployment documentation

  • Management of Control, Audit and Risk routines.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Experience with Palo Alto Prisma Access and associated product suite

  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting IPsec tunnels on firewalls (Palo Alto preferred)

  • SD-WAN Experience (Palo Alto and Silver Peak Preferred)

  • Cisco CCNA – Switching and Routing (or equivalent work experience)

  • Cisco & Meraki - Routing, Switching, IOS upgrading, general troubleshooting

  • Working experience with the following protocols: OSPF, BGP, VLAN, VRF, IP

  • Experience with networking in a hybrid-cloud environment (Azure preferred)

  • WAN Technologies: MPLS, Internet, DWDM

  • Experience with Illumio

  • Authentication methodologies, including 2FA, RADIUS, LDAP, AD,

  • Experience with Wireshark or other protocol analysers

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of all round infrastructure technologies

  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, to respond to shifting priorities, and to work efficiently under the pressures

  • General Cloud experience (Azure/VMWare)

  • Scripting skills (Python/YAML, Terraform)

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
