Exceptional People Deserve Exceptional Staff
An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen to join Livability Millie College at a pivotal stage in its development.
Livability Millie College is a post 16-25+ education setting, bridging the gap between education and employment for young people with a range of learning disabilities and complex needs.
Our location sets us apart. Based on a 350-acre countryside site near Poole, the college’s curriculum is directly aligned to its natural environment and the enterprise activities that operate there, including animal care, catering and retail, conservation and horticulture.
Students are supported with personalised learning programmes which build confidence and independence, underpinned by a focus on wellbeing.
Since opening in September 2022, the college has doubled its student numbers and has ambitious plans for growth. We are now seeking a Deputy Principal to help deliver our vision of outstanding education for all.
As Deputy Principal, you will deliver visible leadership, clear and consistent operational management and have the authority to delegate in the absence of the Principal, when required.
You will have a substantial and successful record as a senior leader, and be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and an ability to motivate and develop staff teams.
You will have drive, determination and enthusiasm, with a proven track record of outstanding classroom practice and achieving positive outcomes for students. You will be imaginative, dynamic and fully committed to the principles of inclusive education for all, no matter what barriers our young people face.
You will be uncompromising in the pursuit of high-quality education provision and will share Livability’s values of being open, inclusive, enabling and courageous.
Working as part of a wider collaborative team at the college and with leaders at Livability Education’s other settings, you will help us enhance the impact and effectiveness of our provisions.
Whilst your existing skill set will be complementary to our leadership team, we will look to further enhance your abilities and expertise through CPD, local and regional networks and a challenge-partner model.
This post provides an outstanding opportunity to play a key role in the next phase of the college’s development.
