Post Grad Data Science Intern - Paid - Competitive Salary.
The role will be part of the CME Global Data Science department. The team is responsible for data science, machine learning, analytics, generating insights, and developing data products and tools. The team brings diverse skill sets together (AI, machine learning, statistics, derivatives expertise, ingenuity, coding and technical skills) in a highly collaborative, collegial manner. Market Opportunities team in London working across EMEA and APAC region and using complex and advanced methods to solve challenging business issue. We are looking for a Post Graduate Student ready for an exciting new challenge to join the team in London.
The Data Science Intern role will work across sales, marketing, product, client, and IT divisions to help drive the data utilization and building solution with various business units. Expand usage of Data Science tools with staff and clients. Post Graduate Student in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics or similar; studying towards PhD would be a plus
Strong programming skills in Python (Numpy, SciPy, Pandas, and scikit-learn), R, SQL
Experience of data preparation, cleaning, joining, manipulation, analysis in academia, industry, or personal projects
Familiarity with one of Business Intelligence and visualization tools such as Tableau, Business Objects, Qlikview, Looker, and PowerBI
Ability to apply critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
AWS or Microsoft Azure) is a plus
Experience analyzing unstructured data and text is plus
Scripting skills of any one of the major object-oriented programming language is a plus
Knowledge of Commodity and Financial Derivatives Markets, especially in futures and options would be a plus
Role is based in London with hybrid work schedule (3 days in Office)
