Role Description

This is a full-time Site Reliability Engineering Manager role with flexibility for remote or hybrid working in the Essex. The role involves leading and mentoring the Azure based infrastructure SRE team, overseeing the reliability and performance of infrastructure services, implementing best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system scalability and reliability.

Knowledge and Experience

• Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on Azure cloud infrastructure.

• Extensive knowledge of Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Services, and Azure Storage.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana).

• Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent communication, writing and collaboration skills.

• Familiarity with and experience of the Linux operating system

• Automation experience (such as bash, terraform or ansible)
