An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Delivery Assurance Manager to work within the Assurance Department responsible for ensuring third party ambulance, taxi and section 19 (not for profit) organisations meet the NWAS service requirements across PES, PTS and 111.

Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. - Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Relevant management qualification or equivalent supervisory / general experience
- Evidence of relevant CPD
- Experience of financial and budget management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill, ability to receive and provide complex, sensitive and contentious information
- Ability to manage a heavy workload and work effectively during busy periods.
- Strong team-working and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate, performance manage and develop teams and individuals.
- Decision maker, with ability to adapt decision making to meet needs of the situation.
- Computer literate with practical knowledge of Microsoft office applications and understanding of databases.
- Full driving licence
- Able to work on own initiative
- Ability to organise busy workloads.
- Service development and improvement
- Experience / knowledge of Paramedic Emergency Service (PES) operations and knowledge of Emergency Operations Control (EOC) practices
