Category Manager – Acquisition, Design, Engineering & Construction
~ Perm Role
~ Theale\Reading - Hybrid (2-3 days per week onsite)
~ You would need to be eligible to work in the UK without the need for Sponsorship About the Role: The Category Manager will have Ownership of a range of sub-categories within the Company’s key delivery offer including Acquisition, Design, Engineering and Construction, along with the associated company spend and relevant supplier base. You will develop appropriate commercial strategies and approaches to optimise value-for-money and minimise supplier-related risk and will own, develop & deliver sourcing events (both traditional & e-sourcing) which fully align with the Company’s Corporate Procurement Policy. Financial contribution will be linked to an industry standard methodology and aligned with commercial structure. Working in conjunction with a range of internal stakeholders, the Procurement Category Manager will drive commercial benefit, service delivery improvement and process efficiency. 7+ years in a relevant Procurement or Supply Chain Management environment
~ Procurement and supplier management experience in an estates management, professional service or asset management background.
~ Goal deployment of strategy and process creation.
~ Planning, prioritizing and delivering improvements to achieve objectives within timescales.
