Z-Tech are recruiting an Operations Manager to lead the Water business unit, to join our senior management team working collaboratively alongside three other Business Unit managers reporting to the Head of Operations.
This is a high energy and rewarding role overseeing the operational delivery and strategic development of the Water business unit.
Z-Tech Control Systems (a part of M Group Services) provides specialist Electrical, Control and Instrumentation support to the UK's Water, Energy and Adjacent market sectors. We're dedicated to working with our customers to develop and implement environmentally sustainable and cost efficient solutions to business challenges, enabling them to remain focused on day-to-day operations.
We currently employ more than 300 Z-Techers across four business units, each of whom has a diverse range of skills and backgrounds. Z-Tech's Business Units:
Water - Serving the UK Water companies with EC&I maintenance, project delivery and contingent resource services.
Energy - Serving the UK Energy industry with EC&I maintenance, project delivery and contingent resource services.
Adjacent Markets - Serving the adjacent market and transport sectors with EC&I maintenance, project delivery and contingent resource services.
ATEX & Electrical Services - Providing ATEX and Electrical compliance services across our primary sectors (Water, Energy & Adjacent markets) across the UK.
Account Management and development within existing and new customers in line with business unit strategy and scope
Improvement and enhancement of long-term relationships with both internal and external key stakeholders through contact, meetings and visits
Strategic operational development of the Water business unit to meet the needs of the customer base and maximise opportunities within the scope of the Water business unit.
Responsible for the growth and associated P&L for the Water business unit.
Ensuring the business unit complies with the company HSEQ standards and procedures.
Desirable - Technical, Operational (Water) or Project Management knowledge and qualifications.
Essential - Advanced Account Management skills and experience of growth strategies.
Essential - Competent user of IT, specifically Microsoft suite of software, MS Project, MS Office.
Essential - Advanced financial knowledge, forecasting, budgeting.
