As a Depot Manager you will support the operations & maintenance of multiple operational rolling stock fleets ensuring fleet readiness, safety, performance & reliability. This will include the management of all depot activities and depot safety. This includes staff training & competence management, fleet maintenance & train care activities, depot safety, facilities maintenance, depot movements and supporting & enabling the fleet technical team within the depot. The role You will manage maintenance schedules and all related people management across multiple shifts, teams and projects within the maintenance depot. You will act as a point of contact for colleagues within the wider engineering, operations and service delivery departments. You will ensure that all work carried out on the fleet meets the required standards and is carried out safely and efficiently. You will be ultimately responsible for the quality of work and personal safety of all workers within the depot environment. You will contribute to the training and development of the depot teams to maintain a highly efficient, motivated and safety conscious workforce.
