Role Overview: As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for façade and drylining projects. You will collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and clients to ensure cost-effective solutions, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for façade and drylining works based on technical drawings and specifications.
  • Analyze project requirements and collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Source and obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit tender documents, including bills of quantities and pricing schedules.
  • Conduct risk analysis and value engineering to optimize costs while maintaining quality.
  • Monitor and report on project budgets and ensure alignment with estimates.
  • Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings to gather essential project information.
  • Provide post-tender support, including pricing variations and final accounts.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, material costs, and construction technologies.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, specifically with façades and drylining.
  • Strong knowledge of façade systems, drylining, materials, and construction processes.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts (JCT, NEC, etc.) and industry standards.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Causeway, or similar).
Preferred:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., RICS, CIOB).
