Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one support for students on the autism spectrum, adapting teaching strategies to accommodate individual learning styles and needs.
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies tailored to students with autism.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting social interaction and peer relationships among students.
Collaborate with teachers and specialists to develop and implement differentiated learning activities and accommodations for students with autism.
Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents on academic and behavioural achievements.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance understanding and best practices in supporting students with autism spectrum disorders.

Requirements:

Proven experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum, coupled with a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support, with a specific focus on autism (desirable).
Outstanding interpersonal skills, allowing you to forge meaningful connections with students and create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
