The Age Well programme has a focus on ensuring people are able to live as independently and healthily as possible in their older years, alongside leadership of the unplanned care programme at place. The post holder will be a key member of a team to improve the health and wellbeing of the local people in Newham Place
The post holder will have good knowledge of their dedicated area, with a strong understanding of and experience in the commissioning cycle alongside advanced co-ordination, leadership, management, communication and interpersonal skills that enable them to promote and further the work of the partnership across a wide range of stakeholders.
The post holder will work at Place as well as across north east London, the provider Collaboratives, local government and with other Place Partnerships as appropriate. The post holder will support the Director of Partnerships, Impact and Delivery, the Executive Place Lead, the Clinical Director and other senior leaders to deliver the strategic vision and the priorities for the Place Based Partnership in line with the partnership operating model, focusing on Age Well and to reduce health inequalities and improve the health and wellbeing of the local population
The post holder will work with the Director of Partnerships, Impact and Delivery to facilitate the delivery of integrated functions with relevant local authority and NHS partners to ensure best use of resources for the partnership.

We serve eight local authority areas: Hackney; work within the Mutual Accountability Framework to improve the health and wellbeing of local people and will lead on the delivery of core outcomes (related to Age Well) at Place.
Understand the needs and assets of their local population and lead for the Place Partnership on the Age Well agenda adopting a strengths-based approach and considering the wider determinants of health
Ensure that local people, communities and wider stakeholders are actively involved in identifying issues and challenges and in co-producing their own solutions within their area
Develop and implement, in line with the Place Based Partnerships core outcomes and priorities and in line with relevant north east London strategies, local delivery plans in their dedicated areas
Have a nuanced understanding of the different ways of working and cultures across the partner organisations and use sophisticated communication techniques to engage and negotiate with different partners
Challenge ways of working and persuade, motivate and influence other senior managers to co-design practices as appropriate
Be well informed around Newham needs and able to apply national, regional, sub-regional policies and guidance as appropriate, learning from best practice and areas for improvement locally and across the system in north east London
Knowledge, training and experience
Evidence of continued professional development
Experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments
Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes
Knowledge of project principles
Ability to communicate with clinical, academic and all levels of staff effectively
Numerate and able to understand complex financial issues combined with deep analytical skills
Knowledge of financial systems e.g. monitoring budget management, processing invoices and procurement
Planning Skills
Capability to plan over short, medium and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly
