Honorary Treasurer

The Council of Ulster University is seeking to appoint an Honorary Treasurer/charity trustee to support the governance of the University at this exciting time in its journey.

As the governing body of the University, the Council works in collaboration with the Vice-Chancellor and his Executive Leadership Group to set the tone for leadership culture at the University and to oversee delivery of the University’s strategy - People, Place and Partnership. It is a rich and stimulating environment with significant opportunities for personal and professional development available to the successful candidate.

As the Honorary Treasurer, you will play a vital role in the oversight of the University’s finances, operating as both a member of the Council and as Chair of the University’s Resources Committee.

We are seeking to appoint an Honorary Treasurer who is a qualified chartered or management accountant with excellent financial acumen, together with proven senior level experience in the management/governance of a public, private, community or voluntary sector organisation. In-depth relevant specialist experience in areas such as governance, audit and risk, finance and accounting, or capital development would also be important.

Whilst experience gained within a higher or further education environment would be beneficial to your application, this is by no means essential.
