INDUSTRIAL SPRAY PAINTER iRecruit are working on behalf of our client in the Sheffield area. They are seeking an experienced Industrial Spray Painter. Job Summary: Duties

  • Loading & unloading of wagons & moving small & large fabricated steel items around the workplace using the FLT & Overhead Cranes
  • Working daily with small & large fabricated steel items ranging from 1kg to 10tonne
  • Preparing items for paint
  • General Paint Shop duties
  • Work to specific production schedules
  • Pack completed works for despatch
  • Application of various 1 pack & 2 pack primer & topcoat paints to steel surfaces using airless spray equipment, rollers & brushes where necessary
  • Read, understand & apply paint in line with manufacturers Technical Data Sheets
Requirements
  • Excellent timekeeping
  • Ability to work to & meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Work to specific production schedules
  • Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting paint equipment issues
  • Setting up & cleaning down spraying equipment
  • Overseeing quality of work for each project
Qualifications
  • Folk Lift Truck Counterbalance experience (license preferred)
  • Overhead Crane experience (license preferred)
  • Previous industrial spraying experience (essential)
Hours of Work Monday – Thursday - 6am – 2pm Friday – 6am – 1pm Overtime – to suit customer demand Saturday – 6am – 10am Shifts subject to change as required to suit customer demand Monday – Friday 10am – 6pm Monday – Thursday 10pm – 6am
