About the Company:

The Company Roxel is an Anglo-French Company that designs, develops, and manufactures a range of solid propellant rocket motors for use in tactical missiles. Its operations are spread across several sites in the UK and France, with an annual turnover over £100M and over 700 staff, 255 in the UK and growing. The main UK operations are located at Summerfield near Kidderminster.

The Role:

Reporting to the Site Services Manager, the role is responsible for the maintenance and improvement of site infrastructure and supporting functions. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing plans, drawings, programmes, and proposals in support of site infrastructure development.
  2. Coordinating maintenance and repair of electrical, plumbing, ventilation, refrigeration, civils, and buildings on site.
  3. Ensuring the continuity of service infrastructure through planned and reactive task management.
  4. Developing facility and equipment specifications.
  5. Designing and overseeing facility development, layout, and systems.
  6. Evaluating operational systems and facility infrastructure to improve efficiencies.
  7. Planning and coordinating maintenance schedules and activities.
  8. Overseeing contractor activities on site.
  9. Ensuring compliance with regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
  10. Preparing reports and compliance documentation.
  11. Any other duties as reasonably requested to facilitate efficient operation.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

Preferred qualifications and experience for the role include:

  • HNC or HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Previous proven Facilities experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with CAFM systems and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques like Kaizen, Lean 6 Sigma, RCA.
  • Understanding of building processes, construction principles, and relevant legislation.
  • Project/programme management skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy, with a green or black belt being desirable.
