These are hybrid working positions with some travel expected across Europe working ideally on a contract basis. (There may be a permanent option also.

The Category Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the category strategy and leading the strategic sourcing and management of spend (including supplier and contract management) for the assigned category areas on a global level. The Category Manager’s role further includes developing and working against sustainable, KPI-based targets while delivering measurable efficiencies for the category under their responsibility, developing the procurement organisation within the business, and providing a flexible support to transform operations while exhibiting high standards of corporate governance. This role involves interacting and working closely with the respective site Buyers and other Category Managers while also working very closely with the procurement leadership and key stakeholders within the sites and Business units. The Category Manager will also manage and collaborate with the local sourcing and analytics team and use their expertise in development and execution of agreed category strategy(ies) in alignment with the business objectives.

Display proactive leadership and accountability for all strategic procurement activities and management of third party spend within the allocated category(ies). Develop a detailed category procurement plan and strategy, get sign-off from the leadership, and manage its implementation and execution. 5-7+ years experience in procurement and category management (including SRM)
~ Experience with supplier negotiations: project management, setting strategies, formulating objectives, establishing implementation plans, etc.
~ Good understanding and experience of leading practices in end to end category management (category spend analysis, strategic sourcing and supplier management, contract management)
~ Contract design and development
~ Industrial Manufacturing Industry Experience Preferred
~ Effective and creative problem-solving approach
