Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Accountant. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced fashion industry, where you will be responsible for designing, analysing, and reviewing all financial systems, practices, and policies. You will play a crucial role in supporting the Financial Controller in ensuring that internal financial controls are fit for purpose and are enforced, measured, monitored, and improved where necessary.

As a Systems Accountant, you will be at the heart of our client's finance operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all financial systems, practices, and policies. You will work closely with the management accounts team to resolve any issues that arise. Your role will also involve supporting the Financial Controller in ensuring that internal financial controls are robust and fit for purpose. You will enforce governance across all finance systems and processes. Your ability to interrogate financial documents/transactions will be key in identifying potential issues. This position requires someone with extensive Business Central experience and excellent data interrogation skills, as you will also take the lead in onboarding other entities onto BC.

Key responsibilities:

• Work closely with the management accounts team to resolve issues related to management accounts
• Design, analyse and review all financial systems, practices, and policies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
• Support the Financial Controller in ensuring that internal financial controls are fit for purpose
• Enforce governance and controls across all finance systems and processes
• Interrogate all financial documents/ transactions, review effects on posting entries and highlight issues
• Monitor and manage all system configuration in BC and work with systems team / external consultants as needed to ensure system integrity
• Take a lead on onboarding other entities on BC (examples: Spain, Italy, Germany)
• Monitor and manage posting groups to streamline default accounts
• Provide constructive feedback and support continuous improvement

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Systems Accountant role is a qualified financial accountant with extensive Business Central experience. You will have excellent data interrogation skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel. Your ability to action administration and system configuration changes will be crucial in this role. Experience implementing Dynamics 365 Business Central is essential, while knowledge of C/AL and/or AL code and Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central is desirable. If you have experience in the fashion industry, particularly with Pebblestone, trimmit or fashion environment BC, that would be a bonus. You should be highly organised, with excellent attention to detail, and confident in pressurised situations with strict deadlines.

• Qualified financial accountant with extensive Business Central experience
• Excellent data interrogation skills with advanced excel knowledge

• Experience implementing Dynamics 365 Business Central
