A fantastic opportunity to join our Estates team to provide day-to-day maintenance in our on-site residential homes for young people with complex autism. Salary: £24,000 to £30,000 depending on qualifications and experience
Hours: 38 hours per week, Early and Late shifts (6am-4pm) or (11am-9pm) and alternate weekends.
MUST be available to work weekends and evenings as per the team rota.
Contract type: Permanent - full-time
Extras: Must have driving license and own a car due to the location of the role
The Maintenance Technician will carry out general maintenance and repairs in all areas of Prior's Court. This is to ensure our facilities, equipment and buildings are maintained to a high standard, so minimising disruption to Prior’s Court young people, who have complex autism.
To carry out general maintenance and repairs. Typical work includes basic carpentry, painting and decorating, ‘making good’ & ‘making safe’ repairs to the building fabric, fixtures and fittings and basic construction tasks.
To conduct basic regulatory testing and inspection of equipment, plant and infrastructure. This includes weekly/monthly fire alarm testing and recording, legionella hot water testing and swimming pool water quality testing.
To carry out room and furniture moves between residential houses and other facilities.
To be available for ‘on call’ rota and emergencies.
To use initiative to respond to tasks with the best possible outcome/repair and think outside of the box for innovative solutions to the bespoke requirements of the site and needs to the young people.
Working collaboratively with sub-contractors
To be available to work weekends and evenings as per the team rota. 38 hour week, Early and Late shifts (6am-4pm) or (11am-9pm) and alternate weekends
Educated to GCSE or NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
You MUST be a driver/car owner due to location.
