The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in accurately assessing the costs associated with civil engineering and groundworks projects, ensuring our company remains competitive and profitable. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in estimating and a passion for delivering high-quality projects.
Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimates.
Utilize estimating software and tools to generate detailed cost breakdowns, including materials, labour, equipment, and overhead.
Evaluate potential risks and opportunities associated with each project and incorporate them into cost estimates.
Prepare and present comprehensive estimates to senior management and clients, explaining the rationale behind the provided figures.
Review and analyse historical data to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Salary and Benefits: The salary for this position ranges from £50,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
