We are seeking a skilled Software Tester to contribute to the development, implementation, and execution of software testing for applications in a safety-related environment. As a Software Tester, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and analysing system specifications/requirements.
  • Collaborating with the test manager to develop effective test strategies and plans.
  • Designing, developing, and executing test cases (manual and automated) and analysing results.
  • Documenting bugs and issues with sufficient information for investigation and resolution.
  • Interacting with clients to reproduce reported issues.
  • Developing and maintaining regression test plans.
  • Working across project and development teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance/Software Tester or similar role.
  • Understanding of testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with both validation and regression testing.
  • Experience with automated testing is desirable.
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
  • Working knowledge of test management software.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Strong organisational skills.

Formal Qualifications:

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • ISTQB qualification is desirable but not essential.
