The role is to enhance the current warehousing and material management team and support to the Transmission Operations field teams. It will engage with external and internal teams and suppliers to ensure all stock spares are maintained and stored in accordance with technical designs, manufacturers specifications and SHE Transmission policies/guidance. It will also facilitate the operations directorate on the retention and re-use of de-commissioned assets.
– Ensure all materials are stored as per manufacturer or SHE Transmission specifications and policies.
– Interface with subject matter experts to help deliver additional specifications or policies.
– Advise SSEN Transmission project teams on the retention of proposed decommissioned plant and equipment and provide technical interface with Asset Management team for obsolete equipment.
– Financial awareness
– SSEN Transmission owns and operates the electricity transmission network in the north of Scotland, transporting energy from where it is generated to where it is needed, providing a safe and reliable supply of electricity to the communities it serves.
