Job Purpose:
The Innovation & Learning team at Trust Office exists to support GDST schools in developing and delivering an outstanding education for all their pupils; and to position the Girls’ Day School Trust as a leader in girls’ education, in terms of innovation and quality.
The Education Projects Manager works as part of the team providing support, advice and guidance on a range of topics including safeguarding and compliance, quality assurance, professional development, collaboration, and curriculum review, so as to enable the GDST to deliver its key educational objectives.
The post-holder contributes expertise in and leadership of specific pupil programmes, and teacher professional development.
The post-holder works from Trust Office in London, but makes frequent visits to GDST schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaison between I&L and Marketing, Comms & Philanthropy teams.
- Specified education projects, including (as appropriate) pupil events, pupil programmes, and professional development of teaching staff.
- The GDST portfolio of prizes and scholarships.
- Support for new teachers.
Accountabilities
- Ensure that I&L programmes and events are visible to colleagues in marketing and comms.
- Initiate and manage educational projects and initiatives across GDST schools:
- Support the development of the LEAD programme.
- Design and deliver a strategy for the portfolio of prizes and scholarships.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of the GDST Learn programme.
- Contribute to the development of a GDST strategy for initial teacher training and NQT training.
- Oversee the annual Welcome Conference for new teaching staff.

Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications:
- Teaching qualification.
Experience:
- Teaching experience.
- Working in a marketing role in schools.
- Working with teachers on collaborative projects.
- Event planning and management.
Designing and editing publications, online and print.
Key Skills
- Exemplary in using technology.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to motivate others.
- Influencing, rather than directing, colleagues in schools.
Other Duties:
- Share the Trust’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all young people through having knowledge of Government guidelines and safeguarding policies as appropriate within the schools.
- Ensure that all duties and services provided are in accordance with GDST policies and in line with code of conduct/professional expectations.
- Actively engage in the annual GDST continuous conversations/development process.
- Undertake any other duty as specified by the Senior Management Team not listed above.
- Be a key part of the life of the GDST community, supporting the values, vision and ethos and encourage staff to follow this example.
