The Person:

  • Applicants will have strong knowledge to teach in a creative and innovative way.
  • Be passionate about teaching and learning and can work with others to develop their practice
  • Be a passionate classroom practitioner with a proven record of skills, high expectations and aspirations for our children's achievement
  • Must be confident in leading English across the school (an in-depth understanding) of the subject us essential with evidence of pupils' progress as a result of your teaching English)
  • Knowledge of Phonics teaching and how to support Phonics Screening Check is desirable
  • Be keen to take on new ideas and opportunities
  • Understand how children learn and how we can make an impact on their future
  • Be an excellent communicator with good interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Understand how pupils with special educational needs can be integrated in the classroom
  • Possess expertise and knowledge of formative assessment strategies
  • Understand processes required for administration of statutory assessment
