At Steeple Claydon School we believe that every child has the right to be amazing and have 'the chance to shine'. Our overriding principle is that we have high expectations and aspirations for all our children. Every day matters at school , therefore our mission is to provide a nuturing, fulfilling and rich curriculum and learning environment that takes our children on a journey, from the age of two years to eleven, to become independent, curious and active learners.
Being responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the class, ensuring the highest possible standards in work and behaviour and providing equality of opportunity for all.
• Planning and teaching programmes of work in accordance with the National Curriculum in conjunction with colleagues in the same key stage, ensuring progression across the age and ability range, meets the needs of individual learners.
• Observing, assessing, monitoring and recording the progress and attainment of all pupils in the class.
• Setting homework and planning other out-of-class activities to consolidate and extend the knowledge and understanding pupils have acquired as appropriate.
• Fostering excellent relationships and encourage the involvement and support of parents, governors, community and other agencies
• Being able to support our children with all aspects of school life is essential. There could be an opportunity for a TLR for the right candidate in terms of the school ’s priorities and leading maths across the school . Effective and enthusiastic, with high expectations of all pupils and themselves.
Committed to developing self-confident and independent learners and want to be part of a collaborative approach to school improvement.
Be able to uphold the vision of our school as well as promoting our school values.
Able to maintain professionalism at all times and fully engage with our school priorities.
Evidence of leading an initiative/core subject across the whole school.
Experience of planning a sequenced and progressive curriculum
