Learning Support Assistant (Permanent)

Client Overview: Our esteemed client, a reputable educational institution in High Wycombe, is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The institution is committed to providing inclusive education and support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to ensure their academic success and holistic development.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEN within mainstream classrooms, small groups, or on a one-to-one basis. Your primary responsibility will be to assist students in enhancing their academic achievement, behavior, confidence, and self-esteem under the guidance of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO).

Support teachers in implementing inclusive learning strategies for SEN and English as an Additional Language (EAL) students.
Collaborate with teachers in lesson planning, discussing learning objectives, and evaluating outcomes.
Assist in preparing differentiated learning materials for designated SEN students.
Provide support during homework clubs and lunchtime activities.In the Learning Support Department (Under the Direction of SENCO):

Prepare differentiated learning materials tailored to SEN students' needs.
Assist in delivering extra support during registration periods.
Attend training sessions and relevant courses to enhance skills and knowledge.
Undertake clerical and administrative tasks as assigned.Adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures, reporting any concerns promptly.
Maintain compliance with GDPR regulations regarding data protection.
