Job Overview:
We are looking to add an experienced, professional, and personable Microsoft Cloud specialist to join our growing team.

As a Microsoft Cloud Consultant at Proact, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support in the design, implementation, and optimization of Microsoft Cloud solutions, with a focus on Azure, Microsoft 365 (M365), and Intune.

Utilizing your proficiency in both Infrastructure-as-Code solutions (esp. Terraform) and traditional manual configuration, you will play a key role in architecting and deploying cloud infrastructure and services tailored to meet our customers' needs. This position can be mostly remote anywhere in the UK, but there is a requirement to be in the office two days per month.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Consult with customers to understand their business needs and challenges related to cloud adoption.
  • Design and architect solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Intune in line with customer requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise in the deployment, configuration, and optimization of Azure services, Microsoft 365 applications, and Intune for device management.
  • Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the deployment and management of cloud resources.
  • Develop and document comprehensive migration strategies for transitioning on-premises infrastructure and applications to the cloud.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Microsoft cloud solutions with existing systems and workflows.
  • Conduct assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement in customers' cloud environments and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Deliver training sessions and workshops to educate customers on best practices for utilizing Microsoft cloud technologies.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in Azure, Microsoft 365, and Intune, and evaluate their potential impact on client environments.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing ongoing support and guidance to help them maximize the value of their investments in Microsoft cloud services.

Desired Experience:

  • 2 – 5 years of enterprise azure administration experience.
  • Development background in Terraform (preferred), Bicep, or Azure Resource Manager.
  • Deployment of:
    • Landing zones
    • Azure VMware Services
    • Azure Virtual Desktop
    • Cloud Volumes Ontap
    • Azure Site Recovery and / or Zerto
    • Azure AD / Entra
    • Azure Lighthouse
    • Firewalling, routing and NSGs
    • Intune for device management
  • Migrating to Microsoft 365, Exchange Online
  • History in large scale datacentre services or enterprises.
  • Formal education in IT is preferred.

  • Microsoft DevOps Engineer

  • Microsoft Endpoint Administrator

  • Microsoft 365 Administrator

  • HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate

All professional services consultants must possess or undergo Security Check (SC) clearance and National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC) Vetting Level 3 (NPPV3). This clearance procedure is crucial to comply with security protocols and regulations necessary for engaging with certain clients.
