Contek Recruitment are currently working with a a leading manufacturer, specializing in the production, servicing, and installation of special purpose machinery, including vibratory, deburring, and surface finishing equipment, along with machinery such as shot blasters, water treatment, and other automated machinery.

Our client service a wide range of industries, including Aerospace, Medical, Automotive, Hospitality, and General Engineering. Our client are headquartered in Tile Hill, Coventry in the West Midlands.

Due to company growth, our client are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join their growing service team. The Service Technician will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and installation of our machinery at client sites. As a key representative of our company, the Service Technician will uphold company standards of excellence in customer service and technical expertise.

Meaning that half of the role would be service-based at customer sites throughout the UK, and the other half of the role would be based at the facility in Coventry, and would be assembly-based. This would involve assembling, fitting, wiring, and testing machinery.

Communicating with clients, engineers, and other technicians to ensure that services are delivered effectively.

* Promptly following up on service requests and providing customer feedback.

* Monitoring equipment and machinery performance and developing preventative maintenance measures.

* Monitoring inventory and reordering materials when needed.

* Leading the installation, commissioning and training of machines with customers (On site or at customer site).

* Building pneumatic circuits.

* Continuity testing for machines including final machine testing before despatch (AF16 and FAT’s).

* Main liaison for programming machines and coordinating feedback/changes with the programmer and then testing.

* Writing reports, manuals and presenting findings to Managers and Supervisors on a regular basis.

* Supporting the manufacturing team with assembly and testing of machines which includes fitting, use of hand tools.

* Onsite support for electrical/maintenance issues.

* Ability to offer remote and onsite technical support/diagnostics.

Proven experience in servicing industrial machinery, preferably in the field of vibratory, deburring, or surface finishing equipment, although this is not essential.

* Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a range of machinery.

* Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites for installations and maintenance work.

* Prior experience in a customer-facing role and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
