Job Title: Head of Finance, but anyone in a more strategic senior finance role will be considered.
Company Overview:
The Head of Finance position is integral to this organisation in providing strategic and financial guidance to ensure the company's financial commitments are met. The role involves overseeing the year-end statutory accounts preparation and audit, leading the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts, and ensuring compliance with all statutory and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and financial guidance to ensure the company's financial commitments are met.
- Lead the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts and present finance papers to the Board of Trustees and relevant committees.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and legal requirements and oversee the year-end statutory accounts preparation and audit.
- Manage relationships with finance staff, auditors, tax advisors, insurance brokers, and banks.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Risk Register and ensure the department's operations are compliant with national and local legal requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA,ACCA,CIMA)
- Proven experience in financial management and strategic risk management.
- In-depth knowledge of statutory and legal financial requirements.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in developing and maintaining financial policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of finance IT systems to simplify and streamline approaches while maximizing efficiencies
