Operations Manager/Senior Manager

Nexus Resource Solutions are working exclusively with a well-established engineering company that specialise in precision engineering. The client works on a diverse range of projects within the Energy, Oil and Gas, Renewables, Marine, Nuclear and MOD industries.
Although much of the time will be focused on driving long term improvements, the operations manager will be involved day to day operations and activities, primarily supporting the supervisors and allocating resources.
Drive growth of operations team including coaching, training and recruitment.
* Responsible for all matters related to Quality, Health and Safety and Environment, and continual improvement in this area. Plan In-Situ resources and maintain an up-to-date plan, including holiday and accrued leave approvals, supporting supervisors to ensure best use of resources, and onboarding and management of In-situ contractors.
* Support In-situ project engineers to ensure In-situ projects are delivered successfully and productively.
* Available to take calls and make arrangements out with business hours, including weekends when supervisors are unavailable or for more serious issues.
* Responsible for ensuring maintenance of facility, machines, and equipment.
* Several years management experience in a manufacturing or engineering service organisation, ideally including machining
Key Performance Indicators
* 55-70k depending on experience and qualifications
