The Talent for Care Co-Ordinator will be responsible for ensuring that the Trust delivers on its commitment to widening participation and the Apprenticeship and Work Experience agendas . This will be underpinned by the four main areas for action identified in the Talent for Care strategy: 'Get Ready' - pre employment activities including Careers information and guidance for school age pupils, taster days and work experience. 'Get in' - opportunities for people to start their career in a support role 'Get on' - support people to be the best they can be in the job they do 'Go further' - support people to gain promotion through formal training, including registered professions.

Main duties of the job- Support the Talent for Care team in implementing Apprenticeship and Work Experience Programmes.
- Promote the Apprenticeship Strategy to Trust staff, emphasising continuous learning.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and external education providers.
- Ensure the Trust offers a diverse range of Apprenticeship standards to meet staff development needs and Trust objectives.
- Recruit and train Health Ambassadors for events inspiring young people to consider health sector employment.
- Maintain up-to-date records of Health Ambassadors for reporting purposes.
- Foster relationships with partner organizations, including schools and further education providers.
- Provide basic career advice and describe various pathways within the NHS to staff and the public.
- Facilitate Employability, Supported Interns, T-Level, and Apprenticeship cohorts by delivering soft skills training.
- Increase internal work placements as a recruitment pipeline.
- Promote the value of placements to Trust teams and create a pipeline of future applicants.
- Promote Skills for Life opportunities to assist with developing staff to improve their functional skills, including Maths, English and Digital literacy

Job responsibilitiesCommunication
To assist in communicating and promoting the Talent for Care strategy
To be welcoming, positive and engaging; providing clear and concise advice to people who are looking into a career within the NHS
To help maintain links with service managers to promote the Apprenticeship and Work Experience strategies and advise as necessary
To help maintain links with external organisations, such as local authorities, JCPs, Academies and Social Care.
To help foster and maintain a relationship with Training providers for Apprenticeship standards
Provide general advice and guidance to members of staff, Managers and other enquirers on issues.
To deal with correspondence within own responsibility and to effect timely relay or escalation of issues outside the scope of the post.
Analytical and Judgemental Skills / Freedom to Act
To use their judgement and experience to identify Apprenticeship and work experience opportunities that would be suitable to develop the Trusts workforce.
To produce short reports and present recommendations and possible solutions to the Talent for Care team or wider Trust teams at monthly meetings
Understanding and application of the relevant information governance and confidentiality associated with the reporting of activity and sharing information.
The post holder is required to be proactive and use own initiative to deliver the programme of work and provide regular progress reports to the Talent for Care Manager to share information with NHS England to understand regional position
To make recommendations for improving performance through developing effective monitoring and reporting processes that meet service need.
Well motivated with evidence of an ability to work without direct supervision and to use own initiative.
Escalate queries outside of job remit to the Talent for Care Manager. Ability to exercise independence and judgement in the arrangement of administrative work across a complex organisational structure, albeit within laid down policy and procedures.
To use own initiative and problem-solving skills to respond to staff and colleagues in an effective, professional and timely manner regarding course attendance and cancellations, Apprenticeship enrolments and general enquiries
Planning and Organisational Skills
Assist in organising and delivering an annual programme of workexperience and apprenticeship programmes.
Collate information in preparation for an evaluation to be undertaken to establish the impact of the placement.
Attend manager 1:1 and team meetings.
Cover the work of colleagues during periods of absence or peak workloads.
Plan and prioritise own workload to meet personal, team and service objectives.
Excellent attention to detail and is accurate and reliable.
Assist in identifying new vacancies and influence Trust managers to recruit a Trainee/Apprentice.
To prioritise and meet tight deadlines whilst working in a flexible manner tochanging priorities.
Willingness and ability to work in a flexible manner to changing priorities.
Confidence in making decisions when dealing with competing priorities.
Physical Skills
Experienced keyboard Skills
Intermediate word-processing and spreadsheet skills
Able to move and handle equipment used in delivery of training sessions and workshops e.g. laptop, projector, stationery
Collect equipment and clear away rooms following sessions.
To assist with exhibitions and displays, including mounting/framing finished work and moving display boards
Responsibility for Information
Prepare reports for the Talent for Care Manager and management meetings as required
Create a secure and stable electronic filing system for the storage and archiving of confidential education and learning attendances and evaluations.
Support the use of information and communication technology within the department.
Be responsible for monitoring and evaluation of procedures for the programmes of work
Liaise with the HR Administration Services to support with recruitment and onboarding of Trainees and Apprentices in line with trust policies and procedures.
RELATIONSHIPS
Internal- Education and Learning Teams, staff at all levels including, Heads of Depts, Matrons and Service Leads.
External- Training Providers, local authorities, Schools and FE Providers, DWP services, education teams from other Trusts, NHS England.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Willing to undertake DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Enhanced clearance
Ability and willingness to travel, and willingness to attend events outside of core working hours e.g. evening, weekend.
Person Specification Experience- Knowledge of Apprenticeships, levy and DAS system
- Knowledge of current employability programmes
- Experience of delivering on short to medium term projects such as career events and apprenticeship events
- Experience of relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience of assisting in the facilitation of meetings both virtual and face to face
- Knowledge of GDPR and Confidentiality
- Experience of team working and ability to work on own initiative
- Experience of assisting in data analysis, report writing and presentation skills
- L3 qualification in any of the following; Business Administration, Learning & Development, Project Management or Leadership & Management
- Literacy and numeracy qualifications or GCSE pass grade A-C or 4-9
- Competent in the use of Microsoft packages
- Ability to travel to offsite meetings across Coventry and Warwickshire
- Occupational Health Clearance
- Influencing and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage difficult conversations
- Ability to form effective working relationships
- Ability to plan and organise complex activities
- Ability to present complex data in a clear, persuasive format
- Ability to review and update process and implement changes using project management approach
