This is a permanent full-time position, that offers a long-term career working in our Welshpool branch, Monday through Friday, around 7am - 3pm.
Here at CAPS, we are proud to handle a vast range of premium branded Air Compressors and Power Generators. Our Warehouse is well organised, receipting a range of new equipment and parts daily. Our Warehouse distributes predominantly to our internal, national branches, along with organising some customer deliveries throughout Australia. We are proud of our product offering and customer service.
We are Australia's leading independent provider of Air and Power Solutions. With 10 branches nationally, and in operation for 40+ years, this role offers you an opportunity to work at our Welshpool Head Office with an experienced Warehousing team.
The role:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of products.
- Maintain an excellent standard of housekeeping and customer service in warehouse. Securing, maintaining, and taking ownership of warehouse storage location.
- Oversee inventory management processes to ensure accuracy and minimise discrepancies.
- Develop and implement safe warehouse procedures and maintain best practices to optimise productivity and minimise costs.
- Train, mentor, and motivate warehouse staff to ensure high levels of performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, service, supply chain, sales and accounts to ensure seamless operations and timely order fulfillment.
You will have:
- Proven experience in warehouse operations
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of warehouse personnel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with inventory management software.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements within a warehouse environment.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, vendors, and customers.
- Medium rigid licence (preferred).
