WELSH 2nd LANGUAGE TEACHER – CARDIFF We are currently supporting an English Medium secondary school based in the Cardiff LEA who are looking for a Second Language Welsh Teacher to start ASAP. The position would be until at least the end of the academic year. As a dynamic Teacher you will look to add value to any school that you work in, The past few years have proved to be some of the toughest years for school Teachers & Pupils and the knock on affect of the lockdowns are still being felt within the school. The ability to adapt and change with the ever changing landscape within schools will be important as you will need to be prepared to work with pupils who still find it challenging to engage in full time education. The successful Welsh Teacher will be confident enough to manage challenging behaviour and posses a clear understanding of the Welsh language and curriculum. The Schools and Position Full time role Teaching Position Starting ASAP Pupils aged between 11-19 Medium sized school approx. 800 pupils English Medium Secondary School Welsh 2nd Language Teacher Pay inline with Welsh Govt. framework The successful Teachers and the role: Hold QTS status including NQT’s Show a passion for teaching and the capabilities to teach mixed abilities The understanding and the ability to work with children with challenging behaviour Registered with the Education Workforce Council Positive record of student development, subject knowledge and classroom behaviour management skills are essential Full teaching responsibilities including preparation and assessment in Welsh If you will be coming to the end of a placement this year or are looking for a new challenge then please send through your CV today.
