Academics LTD is partnering with a number of outstanding secondary schools in and around Witney , which are currently seeking enthusiastic and proactive Cover Supervisors to start in January 2025 . This role offers the chance to support students' learning while overseeing lessons in the absence of their regular teachers, ensuring that the school's high standards for behaviour are maintained. If you're based in or around Witney , this is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in education.

This position is ideal for individuals who either have experience in education or those aspiring to build a career in the sector. It's also an excellent stepping stone for recent graduates looking to enter the teaching profession. A minimum of GCSEs in Maths or English (grade C or above) is required. Additionally, there will be opportunities to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) if this is an area you're passionate about. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage student behaviour to create a productive and respectful learning environment.
  • Supervise the lessons set by the class teacher and support students in completing their tasks.
  • Foster positive relationships with students and staff, acting as a role model.
  • Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of students at all times.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working in a school environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A passion for supporting students in their learning journey.
  • The ability to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive atmosphere.
