We have an exciting opportunity working for one of the UKs largest 3PL organisations . Our client has invested in groundbreaking technology that will transform the haulier market space. This opportunity has the potential for amazing growth and will disrupt the UK haulage sector.

We are looking for an experienced transport professional to join the as a 4PL National Haulier Director, deputising and reporting into one of the UK's best mentors & MD that will transform your career to new heights.

Key areas of focus are:

  • Own the subcontract strategy in line with the business direction and strategic objectives
  • Develop relationships within the transport community, onboarding hauliers
  • Onboarding hauliers to the digital platform
  • Develop new contracting lanes, increasing coverage and payment processes
  • You will own and lead the Group logistics partner sourcing, procurement and pricing activities

The ideal candidate would have come from a transport or haulier procurement background, either from a retail, logistics, freight forwarding or haulier management. You will have a proven track record and understands the haulage cost and marketplace. The ideal candidate will have experience of using digital marketplaces and digital apps. CPC and knowledge of current transport legislation, along with demonstrable knowledge of the UK haulage network is preferred, but not essential.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in St Albans, Hertfordshire. There will be national travel involved.
