Rainham Kent, United Kingdom Premier Work Support Full time

Our client, a leading facilities management company is seeking an experienced Electrician to carry out domestic installation work. You will be based out of their Rainham office working across predominantly residential dwellings within the M25 area and London Postcodes.

The role will involve replacing consumer units under various scenarios i.e. surface mounting, mantel and experience with installations issues such as CCU mounting and fixings.

This is a permanent, full-time position (Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 5.30pm).

Key Responsibilities:

  • To undertake electrical installation and maintain electronic and electrical systems. To install, inspect and test equipment, making sure that electro-technical systems work. To find and fix faults.
  • To attend sites as a lone worker and/or with an apprentice if deemed appropriate.
  • To carry out 5 yearly inspections and tests submitting the results on provided software via tablet/PC for qualifying supervisor to review.
  • Obtain and prepare estimate/quotation information for works where necessary.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Must hold 2391 Testing Certificate & 18th Edition Regs.(Essential)
  • Working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds 2394 and 2395 qualifications, and inspection and testing certificate ( 2391)
  • Experience as a qualified electrician carrying out works as above
  • ECS card is desirable
  • You must have a full UK driving license as the role involves driving

You must have the ability to organise your workload and ensure effective use of time and resources in order to get the job done as efficiently as possible. The ability to prioritise your workload is key to ensure that deadlines are met. Working conditions will vary so a willingness to work in all sorts of weather and potential confined spaces is required.
