Job Title : Part Time - Housekeeper

Schedule: Monday – Friday 4:00pm – 9:00pm

Facility location: Chester, CT

Summary: Performs cleaning and sanitizing

Key Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Under minimal supervision, cleans the bathrooms and office area.
  • Make sure all bathrooms have sufficient supplies.
  • Adapts to new procedures, techniques, tools, material and or equipment to meet the more complex requirements of the position.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
  • Sanitizes all areas of the facilities to ensure cleanliness.
  • Vacuum all areas of the facility.
  • Knowledge of Whelen procedures policies
  • Sweep and mop all floors to maintain cleanliness of the facilities and carpet.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet multiple deadlines while maintaining a cooperative working relationship with employees and supervisor.
  • Clean all conformance rooms after every use.
  • Empty all garbages.

Scope

  • Has advanced and specialized expertise, typically developed through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience.
  • Completes assignments daily.
  • Proposes improvements to processes.
  • Works autonomously within established procedures and practices

Education and Experience

  • High School w/5+ years’ experience

Physical demands and abilities

  • Able to lift 35 pounds.
  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
  • Able to stand for entire shift.

Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and third parties. This ability to communicate requires the employee to be conversant in English as the majority of our workforce and the third parties that we encounter only speak English.
