Role Overview: We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Dance Teacher to join our Performing Arts department. As a key member of our team, you will deliver dynamic and engaging dance lessons to students aged 11-16, inspiring them to explore various dance styles and techniques while fostering their creativity and self-expression. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to extracurricular activities, school productions, and dance showcases, enriching the school community and showcasing students' talents.
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality dance lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities and learning styles.
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and explore their creativity through dance.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their full potential.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative dance curriculum and extracurricular activities that enhance students' learning experiences.
Participate in departmental meetings, parent consultations, and school events to support the wider school community and promote the performing arts.
Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree or relevant qualification in Dance or Performing Arts.
Demonstrable experience teaching dance to secondary school students, with a strong understanding of dance pedagogy and curriculum development.
Passion for dance education and a commitment to inspiring and motivating students to achieve their goals.
Creativity, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
