Swimming Pool Lifeguard

Lifeguards will supervise the pool for a number of activities not limited to: classes, open pool, rental groups such as church groups and scout groups, summer conference groups, swim meets, etc. Duties include regular testing of pool water, sweeping the pool deck, operating pool vacs, and other typical pool duties. Lifeguards will also have the opportunity to be instructors for swim school and private lessons.
Red Cross Water Safety Instruction is encouraged for those guards desiring to teach swimming lessons
Several years experience as a lifeguard and teaching various levels of swimming.
Constant supervision of the pool to maintain a safe environment for all present. This includes assuring that all pool rules are enforced.
Operate pool vacs as instructed by aquatics director.
Move lane lines as needed to accommodate the activities of the various group using the pool.
Other occasional projects as determined by aquatics director.
