As a key member of the ICT team, the role will provide maintenance and development of the LANs and WAN infrastructure.

Participate in various infrastructure and desktop projects to support strategic roadmap and continual improvement.

Support the ICT Helpdesk function, ensuring user requests are resolved to agreed service levels and work closely with the Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, Distribution and Finance teams to support daily operations.

Maintain an awareness of cyber-security and ensure procedures and policy are followed to minimise risk to the organization.

Promote and develop use of the ICT Systems in a secure manner to generate efficiency improvements.

Key Accountabilities:

General

  • Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.
  • Work positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity.
  • Represent the organisation in a positive way as to avoid the damage of corporate image or bringing the company into disrepute.
  • Promote and display the Epwin Core Values.

Technical

Support and maintenance of divisional ICT infrastructure, to include:

  • WAN Firewalls and LANs.
  • Support, configuration, and control of Remote Access to Divisional ICT services.
  • All aspects of support of the Divisional suite of servers and any supported remote sites.
  • All aspects of support of the Hyper-V virtual server environment and Storage Area Network.
  • Taking a security first approach, completing internal procedures and assisting or leading response to incidents.
  • Backup environment including monitoring and capacity.
  • Patch and Vulnerability management of environment.
  • Microsoft Exchange messaging environment.
  • Support Microsoft Azure environment and related components.
  • Liaison with any third-party contractors/consultancies for any infrastructure related tasks.

Service Delivery

Support of the ICT Helpdesk function, to include:

  • Ensuring that user requests are resolved to agreed service levels.
  • Provide root cause analysis of Helpdesk requests and identify opportunities to reduce the volume of Helpdesk requests.
  • Ensure that you operate within a safe, healthy, and environmentally aware manner always.
  • Ensure potential information security risks are identified and dealt with as a priority.
  • Any additional tasks/projects, as requested by the ICT Infrastructure Manager or Head of ICT.
  • Some cross functional responsibility (and team working) with local site managers, their teams and across divisions within the Epwin Group.

  • Microsoft Server support and administration
  • Microsoft Azure support and administration
  • Virtualisation - Hyper-V standalone and clusters
  • Storage Area Networks - Dell EqualLogic and SC Series SANs
  • Backup and Cloning solutions - Quest Rapid Recovery, Druva and Windows Backup
  • Endpoint security and response - Crowdstrike
  • Endpoint Management (Patch, Vulnerability, App Control etc.) – support and administration of Endpoint Central
  • Mobile Device Management – Endpoint Central and SOTI MobiControl
  • Microsoft Active Directory support and administration
  • Group policy administration, PowerShell and scripting
  • TCP/IP Networking (DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN, VLAN, Firewalls, etc.), support, and administration.
  • E-Mail Security - Mimecast
  • MS Office 365 - configuration, and administration.

  • Cyber security awareness and incident response
  • Disaster recovery testing
  • User training
  • Creating technical documentation
  • Experience of Manufacturing, Sales & Distribution operations
  • Capable of clear and accurate communication, both written and verbal.
  • Full Driving License

Performance Measures

  • Delivery of projects to support the strategy of the organisation in a timely fashion.
  • Continued maintenance of ICT infrastructure to ensure security and availability to agreed service levels.
