he School of Medicine, Dentistry & Biomedical Sciences (MDBS) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to recruit a talented Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Immunology.
The appointed candidate will expand the research excellence and strengthen the academic base within the Wellcome-Wolfson Institute for Experimental Medicine, employing multidisciplinary and innovative approaches to advance our understanding in the theme of immunology including immune regulatory disorders affecting various organ systems. They will also teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and contribute to School and Institute administration / outreach activity.

Applications may be made at Senior Lecturer or Lecturer level. The job description for Senior Lecturer includes and builds on the requirements at Lecturer level. For Senior Lecturer, the successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
PhD in a relevant subject area
Significant research experience at postdoctoral level in a relevant Immunology field.
Record of high quality publications at an international level of excellence in internationally recognised journals.
Successful PhD supervision as Primary Supervisor.
Substantial relevant teaching experience at University Level with evidence of appropriate leadership in education.
Experience of delivering high quality teaching as evidenced by positive feedback received from for example: students, colleagues and external examiners
Evidence of academic leadership including managing professional teams, leading initiatives, chairing/participation in committees, contributing to strategy, participating and managing relevant aspects.
