Costain has been appointed by Northumbrian Water Group(NWG) to the newindustry leading collaborative partnership, the Living Water Enterprise (LWE). Asa partner within the LWE, Costain will play a pivotal role alongside otherpartners in realising NWG’s ambitious goals that feature in its business planfor 2025-30, and beyond.

Want to be part of this exciting journey? We’re looking for a dynamic Project Director to lead Costain within the LWE and make adifference to NWG.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the Costain team in the LWE
Promote and actively demonstrate collaborative behaviours within theCostain team and across the LWE
Develop and maintain a high-performance culture across the Costainteam, delivering efficiencies and continuous improvement
Establish and grow excellent relationships with NWG and other enterprisepartners
Actively champion wellbeing, safety and environment performance, and compliancethroughout your team to create a safety culture to ensure Zero LTI and RIDDOR Incidents
Provide whole life oversight and accountability for the successfuldelivery of projects, through design, procurement, assembly, commissioning, andhandover
Communicate extensively across all stakeholders within NWG, and internallywithin Costain to leverage the maximum potential of Costain in the LWE
Ensure compliance with NWG and Costain governance requirements
Deliver commercial and financial performance in line with budget expectations

About you
Experienced in the leadership of complex projects and/or programmesin a collaborative delivery environment
Ability to positively engage and build strong stakeholder andpartner relationships to achieve mutual success
Significant amount of contract delivery experience where you have successfullymanaged a framework of multiple projects of a complex or critical naturepreferably in the water sector
An engaging leader of people with extensive line management and development ofpeople
Excellent knowledge, and experience of CDM and Construction & EngineeringManagement
Excellent knowledge of contractual forms used for collaborative projectdelivery
Solutions focussed with ability lead teams in problem-solving
Solid commercial, financial and analytical skills
Flexibility and adaptability to be able to respond rapidly to unexpectedevents, having the ability to shape our response appropriately

Qualifications and Training
HNC/HND or degree in a relevant construction/engineering discipline
NEC PM accreditation (preferred)
Association of Project Management APMP (preferred)
Senior Leaders Safety training
