Legal Counsel

W&P Partners have recently been instructed on a number of Legal Counsel roles across London and the South East. We are keen to engage with experienced generalist commercial lawyers who are interested in hearing about roles in the following sectors:
- Technology
- FMCG/Retail
- Sport
- Media/TMT
- Life Sciences
Some Key Responsibilities will include:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including but not limited to, customer contracts, vendor agreements, partnership agreements, and licensing agreements.
- Provide legal guidance and support to various business departments on day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, including data protection, intellectual property, and consumer protection laws.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to stay abreast of relevant legal developments and provide proactive advice to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Assist in the resolution of legal disputes and claims, including liaising with external counsel as necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with legal requirements and business objectives.
- Support corporate governance matters, including board meetings, regulatory filings, and corporate restructuring initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 2+ PQE, with a focus on commercial transactions and general corporate matters. In-house experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of contract law, commercial negotiations, and risk management principles.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
