We have an exciting opportunity for a Video Content Creator to join a world-class performing arts & cultural company. They create productions for the widest possible audiences and aim to introduce completely new audiences whether in the London of internationally. This position reports directly into the Head of Digital and a creative role, responsible for the in-house production of video content for all areas of the company. Ideally looking for a Content Creator who has worked in the performing arts/entertainment/music/cultural sectors.

It is a fixed term contract for 2 years. They work hybrid, with 3 days in their central London offices and 2 days remote.

The Role

  • Responsible for the in-house production of video content for all areas of the company.
  • Work across departments to support and showcase all areas of the business, including marketing and communications, development, learning & participation, and commercial activities.
  • Storyboard, film and edit short-form video content.
  • Capture behind the scenes content and rehearsal photography for productions, as well as photography for activities across the business as needed by other departments.
  • The project management of multiple video projects simultaneously, ensuring assets are delivered on time and optimised for each digital channel.
  • Co-ordinate with freelancers and agencies on the planning and production of larger video or photography projects.
  • Repurpose content for different audiences and channels.
  • Monitor and report on video content performance across digital channels and use data-driven insights to optimise content and drive digital content strategy.
  • Support the Social Media Manager in content plans for social channels.
  • Sound recording and basic sound editing of video interviews and performance videos, alongside the Sound department.
  • Develop creative ideas, suggest new innovative ways of delivering content, and keep up to date with trends and best practices.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all digital content used across the organisation.
  • The organisation and maintenance of the digital content archive.
  • Maintain in-house video equipment and software, staying current with industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Requires some out of hours and weekend work.
  • Work will mainly be London-based. Requires some travel to Manchester where they are setting up a new base.

Skills required

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
  • High level photography and videography skills with the use of cameras and other related equipment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe suite(Photoshop, After Effects & Premiere Pro).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • A solid understanding of digital content creation best practice for all online platforms.
  • 2+ years of experience with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of video projects. Ideally worked in the arts/music/cultural/entertainment/performing arts sectors
  • Ability to work flexible hours as some evening and weekend work may be required.
  • Willing to travel to Manchester for specific project work.
  • Experience in undertaking and editing video/audio interviews.
  • A degree in media production or related field,or professional training in filmmaking/content creation.
  • A passion for storytelling and an interest in the arts.
