Finance Manager

Job Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible for management oversight and control of the company payroll as well as providing support to both the Senior Finance Manager (Trustmarque) and the Senior Finance Manager (Livingstone) on various financial operation topics including cashflow, Balance Sheet, VAT, month end close, inter-company, and statutory audit.

This role reports directly to the Senior Finance Manager (Trustmarque) and manages the Payroll Administrator. This role also works closely with the Senior Finance Manager (Livingstone) as well as the wider Financial and Business Controlling teams and other internal and external stakeholders and professionals.

Imagine:
  • Build and manage a small payroll function and ensure the ongoing personal development, succession planning and resilience of the team.
  • Responsibility for management of payroll working closely with the Payroll Administrator, the People Team and the Business Controlling Team to ensure accurate processing and payment of employee salary and benefits with adequate controls and tax treatment. This includes co-ordinating and managing annual payroll related reporting and liaising with internal and external parties as necessary.
  • Support the Senior Finance Manager (Trustmarque) with month-end close, management of the balance sheet, inter-company, VAT and cashflow, including cash forecasting, FX and working capital forecasting.
  • Provide support to the Senior Finance Manager (Livingstone) as appropriate.
  • Support with the preparation and execution of statutory audits for the group.
  • Ensure compliance with both the internal controls and external requirements for the group.
  • Support the Business Controlling Team to deliver corporate and management reporting and monitoring requirements, including topics such as cash, DSO and covenant related items.
  • Help to identify and support the optimisation of business and finance processes, utilising the potential of existing systems (MS Dynamics) and support in the roll-out of any new systems required for current and future business growth and initiatives.

  • Support the planning and implementation of the integration of Livingstone and other future acquisitions into the Trustmarque group.
Here's what we're looking for:
  • Appropriate qualification in Finance, Business Economics or Accounting and >2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Good communication and people management skills, and able to operate at all levels both within the organisation and externally with affiliates and auditors.
  • Focussed on execution with a positive, pragmatic attitude and willing to take a "hands on approach" when required.
  • The ability to identify root cause issues and recommend /implement system and process changes.
