Specialist SEND Support - PMLD - (Profound, Multiple Learning Difficulties)
Are you seeking a rewarding role where you will play a vital part in supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)?
We are pleased to be recruiting additional Teaching Assistants who can provide specialist SEND Support within our partner school; a PMLD specialist provision based in London.

Specialist SEND Support - PMLD (Profound, Multiple Learning Difficulties) - Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored assistance to PMLD students during lessons and activities, ensuring a positive and enriching learning environment. Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to ensure comprehensive care. Develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Offer mentorship to students, focusing on their emotional and social well-being. Attend regular training (Wednesday afternoons) and team meetings to share insights and stay updated with the latest educational methodologies and support techniques. Document students' progress, behaviours, and challenges, suggesting improvements as necessary. Specialist SEND Support - PMLD - (Profound, Multiple Learning Difficulties) Job Requirements
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning or a related field. Experience working with students with PMLD or special educational needs is essential. Training in safeguarding and child protection. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to ongoing professional development. Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment. Able to commence your next role ASAP and can commit to at least the full 24-25 academic year.
