Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with FIX protocol and a deep understanding of financial market systems. You will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing the low-latency trading platforms, ensuring seamless connectivity to global markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Java-based trading systems with a focus on market connectivity.
  • Implement and support FIX protocol messaging for order routing, execution, and post-trade processes.
  • Collaborate closely with traders, quants, and other developers to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Work on low-latency and high-throughput systems to ensure optimal performance in trading activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to market connectivity and trading systems.
  • Continuously improve and refactor code to maintain high standards of performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in financial technology and trading systems.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of professional Java development experience, ideally within the financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of FIX protocol and its application in trading environments.
  • Experience with low-latency, high-frequency trading systems and market data feeds.
  • Solid understanding of multi-threading, concurrency, and memory management in Java.
  • Familiarity with message-driven architectures and middleware technologies (e.g., JMS, Kafka).
  • Proficient with version control systems, build tools, and continuous integration (e.g., Git, Maven, Jenkins).
  • Experience with SQL and database technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other financial protocols (e.g., FAST, FIXML) and trading platforms.
  • Knowledge of market structure, order types, and trading algorithms.
