This is a key role in which you will oversee various aspects of compliance, with a key emphasis on adherence to legislative and regulatory changes as well as promoting professional standards. Ideally coming from a broad compliance role within regulatory/professional services, the successful candidate will be articulate and possess excellent attention to detail and communication skills. The ability to manage a multifaceted workload is essential, as is the ability to influence change and foster a culture of continuous improvement. A key facet will be a keenness to learn and keep up-to-date on both industry standards and relevant law, whilst maintaining effective controls and reporting procedures. You will have an analytical approach to your work and be forward thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring effective firmwide compliance with regulatory, legislative and professional ISO standards, including best practice, and identifying appropriate areas for improvement.
  • Supporting the firm’s aims through effective engagement with our COLP, COFA and other internal/external stakeholders, whilst leading our internal Compliance team.
  • Providing advice on the Solicitors Code of Conduct, anti-money laundering, GDPR and other areas of due diligence.
  • Assisting with training delivery in the area of risk management.

Qualifications

  • A relevant compliance accreditation would be desirable.
