Do you have experience in Property and Casualty underwriting? As a market underwriter in Zurich Municipal, you will be working on all lines of business, but we would like you to hit the ground running with Property &/or Casualty line of business.

This is a unique opportunity to build your knowledge and experience for the future as all our Underwriters in Zurich Municipal underwrite all lines of business, offering a truly bespoke and personalised service to a range of customers in the Public Sector – from housing to charities.

This role is available part-time, job-share or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time.

Deliver against underwriting & financial measures as outlined in the plan.

Qualify accounts to meet with the organisation's appetite, consistent with sound business opportunity.

Accurately select, assess and price risk in line with underwriting mentorship.

Have an external presence within the Public Sector visiting our customers regularly ensuring you fully understand their risk & insurance requirements.

Ideally, you will have experience in Property and Casualty underwriting and with some experience behind you, we would expect you tick some of these boxes. Property &/or Casualty underwriting experience essential

Superior skills in relationship building, active listening, needs analysis and win-win negotiating.

Ability to effectively assess risk.

Strong knowledge of underwriting philosophy, techniques, national/local filing, regulations and guidelines would be beneficial but not essential
