Observer is an entrepreneurial division, looking for highly talented individuals who are interested in being a part of a dynamic and energised team.

Working in a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will be involved in the management of both large and small clients, as well as taking responsibility for the design, execution and delivery of small to medium projects. We look for people to lead their teams and projects by example - whether on projects or in line management situations - and to create a fun and aspirational environment that delivers excellent results for our clients.

You'll build upon your career experience by working with well-known clients on a wide range of issues and topics that affect consumers generally. As you work alongside the most experienced researchers in the industry, you will also have the opportunity to meet interesting people and really contribute to the success of both Ipsos' and our clients' businesses.

What will I be doing?

  • Building great relationships with their clients beyond the transactional, demonstrating a genuine interest in them and their business issues.
  • Contributing positively to the performance of our business, including playing a role in business development.
  • Managing current and potential clients with excellence. Acting as a guardian of the Ipsos UK and Ipsos Observer brands.
  • Working collaboratively within the team and within Ipsos UK more broadly, getting involved in initiatives to help the business.
  • Being future-focused, for their teams, for themselves and for their clients.
  • Wanting to learn, to develop and to grow both themselves and others.
  • Pursuing best practice in all you do, including keeping that best practice fresh and simple.
  • Communicating even complex issues and processes clearly and simply.
  • Demonstrating expertise, or has a special interest in a particular area and sharing that expertise with others, both internally and externally.
  • Contributing positively to the performance of our business.

Ipsos UK offers a hybrid working environment, 3 days in the office and working the rest from home.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Solid experience quantitative research skills experience, preferably across a range of methodologies
  • A genuine interest in market research and a desire to develop your career within a leading research company
  • The desire to build strong relationships with clients, and deliver excellent client service
  • Hands-on project management skills, with experience of running complex international projects
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, able to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently, and to proactively support colleagues
  • Good internal and external communication skills and the ability to tailor your communication style to suit the specific audience or message
  • Meticulous attention to detail - taking ownership of tasks and ensuring they are delivered to spec
  • Self-motivated and confident with the desire and potential to take on line management responsibility in the future.
  • High level of numeracy and adept user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint with knowledge of SPSS/Survey Reporter beneficial

Observer offers fast and on-demand access to real consumers, citizens and business across all markets and modes. With a flexible service model, we provide a high-end 24/7 DIY platform for clients to build their own surveys as well as assisted service for those who prefer to work directly with a researcher. We are specialized in survey management, data collection and data delivery, well suited to clients that don't need analysis and recommendations, but still require execution delivered in a format that helps them run analysis quickly and accurately with data they can trust.
