Product Engineer

Our project has been operating discretely since 2017, since then we have been working towards our goal of changing the world of logistics and mobility via future technology Aerospace vehicle solutions.
We are currently searching for a Product/Concept Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will turn customer and user needs into product concepts and prototypes. This role will be critical for our vehicle development strategy in what is a highly innovative and intricate project. You will have the rare opportunity to engage in the full life cycle of vehicle development—from conceptualisation and prototyping right through to eventual certification—you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of aerospace technology. Our project is incredibly unique and cutting-edge, and we need the best of the best to make it happen.

Key Responsibilities:- Conduct and lead various types of market, customer and user research to build a deep understanding of needs and requirements.
- Form long term relationships with potential customers and partners and work collaboratively on research and demonstration projects.
- Create and engineer product and system concepts which meet user, customer and business needs.
- Build (or lead the outsourcing of) prototypes of new designs, to be used for further research, demonstration or testing.
- Work with engineers across all disciplines to deliver future technology demonstrations which feed into our vehicle programmes.
- Manage collaborative R&D and testing programmes with our technology partners from concept to completion of testing.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (aerospace not required), Vehicle Design, Industrial Design or comparable.
- 1-3 years experience in concept development, product management (hardware), vehicle design or similar.
- Proficiency in a CAD tool.
- Experience of building and testing/using physical prototypes.
- High level of visual design and sketching skills (hand or digital).
- Experience in market / customer / user research or UI/UX design in a hardware context.
- Master's or other further degree in industrial / vehicle design.
- Startup experience.
- Aerospace Experience.
